We don’t know anything about Jessa’s past life except that she was at a slaughter holding facility as an aged mare. Underweight, very sick with an upper respiratory infection and with a serious injury to her right hind ankle, we were not sure she would pull through. Her tenacity, and great care from our veterinarians, saved her life and this tough old gal is now fat and happy.
